Getting ready for our WordCamp?
Just like you, we are very excited for the first WordCamp in Davao!
To help you better prepare, here’s a MUST READ of important things you should know about our event this weekend:

Check-In @ 7:30 – 8:30 AM
- The confirmation email you received upon successful registration is your ticket to the WordCamp. Feel free to print it from your email but not required.
- At the University of Mindanao – Matina Campus (see map https://goo.gl/maps/t98eaVfcSTHnokCe6), please present your email (digital or printed) to the guard, fill in the log and proceed to the DPT building.
- ATTENDEES WITH PRIVATE CARS: make sure to bring 2 valid IDs as you would need to leave one ID at the school entrance via MAA Gate.
- At the lobby of DPT building, you will be greeted by our ushers at the registration. Please present your ticket (paperless version is recommended) and valid ID.
- You will be checked in and get the following:
- Lanyard / ID sling
- ID badge
- Stickers
- Shirt
- Doors will be closed at 8:40 AM for the opening remarks
- You will be checked in and get the following:
- Proceed to the sponsor booth or swag table
- Food is not allowed inside the auditorium and AVR2
Dress Code
Ensure that you follow the school dress code.
ALLOWED
- Event shirt, formal dress or regular shirt
- Pants
- Skirt / Dress
- Sneakers / leather shoes
- Sandals (for females)
NOT ALLOWED
- Shorts
- Ripped jeans
- Slippers

For some talks:
You may bring your laptop if you want to follow along but it’s not required. Presentations, including links and resources, will be shared after the event.
Wi-Fi & Outlets
We do not have WIFI at the venue. However, we will be providing limited internet access for several talks:
- WordPress Development with Docker
- Pre-Download Docker (optional)
- Download WordPress (optional)
- Creating your First WordPress Site
- Download WordPress (optional)
If you wish to join these tracks, please have your own wifi ready if possible as our resources might not fit for everyone but it’s not preventing you from joining the track.
Need to charge your devices? There are not a lot of outlet, you may bring your own power bank or extension.

Don’t panic it’s organic!
You can bring your own tumblers, spoon and fork, and food containers to maintain a healthier environment.

Need help?
Our organizers, volunteers and speakers are wearing the ROYAL BLUE event shirt. If you have any questions or have any concerns about Code of Conduct violations (2019.davao.wordcamp.org/code-of-conduct), please approach them.
Other concerns:
- Are we going to release certificates? Yes, we are going to release DIGITAL certificates within a month after the event UPON REQUEST. How?

- When will photos and videos be posted?
- An email announcement will be sent once available.
- When will the speaker presentations be posted?
- An email announcement will be sent once available.
- I won’t make it to the event, what can I do?
- We are a volunteer run event. We do not issue a refund.
- You can sell or transfer your ticket to someone else. Ensure that ALL the ticket info has been updated to the new ticket holder. Ticket info can be updated through clicking the link in the confirmation email that we sent you upon successful registration.
